
The CTC Conservation Center, also known as the CTC Conservation Area, is a privately run wildlife
sanctuary located just outside Mpigi town in Butambala District, about 36 km southwest of Kampala
along Masaka Road. Situated in Lukalu village, this facility is dedicated to hands-on conservation, wildlife
rescue, rescue breeding, and education.
CTC is special in a way that it houses a wide variety of species, including lion cubs, zebras,
impalas, bat‑eared foxes, tortoises, baby crocodiles, chameleons, lemurs, and several small cats like
caracal and the elusive African golden cat. A visit to CTC Conservation Center in Mpigi offers a rare and
unforgettable one-on-one experience with wildlife up close giving a personal experience with these

Lion Cubs where you get to Pet, feed, and observe the cubs under close supervision. Learn about their
