The CTC Conservation Center, also known as the CTC Conservation Area, is a privately run wildlife sanctuary situated just outside Mpigi town in Butambala District, approximately 36 km southwest of Kampala, along Masaka Road. Situated in Lukalu village, this facility is dedicated to hands-on conservation, wildlife rescue, rescue breeding, and education.
CTC is special in a way that it houses a wide variety of species, including lion cubs, zebras, impalas, bat‑eared foxes, tortoises, baby crocodiles, chameleons, lemurs, and several small cats like caracal and the elusive African golden cat. A visit to the CTC Conservation Center in Mpigi offers a rare and unforgettable one-on-one experience with wildlife, allowing for a personal encounter with these animals, guided by passionate conservationists. Making it not just a tour but an interactive session where you connect with animals in a safe and respectful environment. you get to interact with Lion Cubs, where you get to Pet, feed, and observe the cubs under close supervision.
